Shelby Redman

Indigenous Artist

Shelby Redman is a Métis artist and advocate whose work bridges traditional knowledge with contemporary expression. Drawing on materials from the land—such as furs, hides, and medicines—she creates powerful pieces that honour ancestral practices while addressing intergenerational healing. Her work has been featured in MAAMAWI: A Community Collaboration, and she regularly shares her knowledge through workshops and panels.

A proud member of Métis Nation–Saskatchewan, Shelby is based in Saskatoon and currently serves as Facilities Manager at Wanuskewin Heritage Park. She began her journey with Wanuskewin in 2019 as the Project Coordinator for the Thundering Ahead Renovation. With a background in Project Management for Indigenous Organizations and extensive hands-on experience, Shelby brings a unique perspective to decolonizing non-profit spaces.

Shelby’s passion lies in reconnecting people to land, story, and culture. She is also an animal mother and a strong voice for community, culture, and connection.
