Blackfoot artist Adrian Stimson (Siksika Nation) will be in Wanuskewin’s Artist in Residence studio from September 10th-24th, as the first in a series of four residencies with four artists, that will culminate in a group exhibition in 2022. Centered around the idea of “four”, Stimson will be on site for two weeks as he explores his practice in relation to the bison, archaeology, and the land. This residency was made possible by the RBC Foundation, and supported by RBC Emerging Artists.
Stimson will be available to interact with the public, as he meets with Elders, archaeologists, and bison experts. This residency is part of a partnership with Remai Modern.
