Wanuskewin presents both traditional and contemporary art in Saskatoon and to an international audience. The galleries show exhibitions by Northern Plains Indigenous artists and remain open to Indigenous artists from across regions and backgrounds.
The galleries have presented exhibitions to the public since Wanuskewin opened. Two gallery spaces now operate year round, with exhibitions changing on a regular schedule. Wanuskewin Galleries works with artists and institutions from across Canada to present a range of exhibitions.
Both gallery spaces are open daily during operating hours and are included with general admission. Visitors can expect to see different exhibitions throughout the year, with new work installed on a regular basis.
If you are an artist interested in the Olivia and Greg Yuel Artist-in-Residence Program, you can review the guidelines and apply. The residency program includes both emerging and established artists.
If you are an artist, institution or collective interested in showcasing a solo or group exhibition at Wanuskewin, please contact the curator below. Exhibitions are planned in advance and scheduled across the calendar year.
The Olivia & Greg Yuel Artist-in-Residence Program creates opportunities for established and emerging artists to connect with the land, interact with the community, and network among peers. This program invites artists who specialize in both traditional and contemporary mediums. We are proud to work with local, national, and international artists.
