Join storyteller, author, stage performer, juggler, poet, and community builder Rob Malo as our guest presenter this Saturday! He'll be doing two sessions: A morning highly interactive storytelling experience for all ages, and an afternoon session for older youth and adults with reconciliation themed stories.

As part of our September Reconciliation in Action Series, we are honoured to have Rob Malo, also known as TiBert, at Wanuskewin for a day of Storytelling.
Saturday, Sept 21, 2024 program schedule:
- 9:30 a.m. – Site Opens (trails open, scavenger hunts, and self guided)
- 10:00 a.m. – Step Back in Time Walk – guided program
- 11:00 a.m. – Storytelling Session 1– Rob Malo – Family-friendly 45-minute kids show!
- *Rob takes everyone on a fun filled imaginary canoe ride. During this amazing adventure we paddle, sing, dance, tell stories around the fire and even juggle!
- All are welcome in this highly interactive storytelling experience.
- 1:00 p.m. – Powwow Style Dance presentation
- 2:00 p.m. – Storytelling Session 2– Rob Malo – Teenage and Adult audience 45-minute storytelling show
- *Rob shares French-Métis and reconciliation themed stories that bring the audience to moments of awe that instigates deep thoughts. This show includes music, jigging and juggling!
- Audience members are welcome to ask questions during and after the show to further their own self-discovery about the themes explored during this unique storytelling experience.
- 3:30 p.m. – Bison Walk – guided program
- 5:00 p.m. – full site (including trails and playground) CLOSED
Self Guided opportunities through the day (trails, exhibits, both galleries, story area, scavenger hunts, gift shop, restaurant, and playground!)

Rob Malo / TiBert
Rob Malo, also known as TiBert, is a Franco-Manitoban Métis member of l’Union nationale métisse Saint-Joseph du Manitoba, he is a storyteller, author, stage performer, juggler, poet, and community builder. A seasoned and recognized master storyteller, Rob gave a masterclass for Storytellers of Canada – Conteurs du Canada in 2019 and was Storyteller-in-Residence at the University of Manitoba in 2020. He twice received high praise from CBC Manitoba and the Winnipeg Free Press critics for his kids shows. He has published articles in Pathways: The Ontario Journal of Outdoor Education and was awarded Certificates of Excellence from Interpretation Canada for digital educational tools distributed by the Province of Manitoba DREF website. His recent projects include TiBert le Voyageur graphic novels, Histoire cachée – In Plain Sight an AR audio tour of Saint-Boniface and the TiBert et Douzie duo.
