Wanuskewin's Annual National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebrations is back for 2023!
Wanuskewin will be offering expressions of culture through dance, music, visual art, as well as history and science in a one day celebration. Celebrate Northern Plains Indigenous culture and spend the day volunteering and exploring this traditional gathering place, home to all Nations of the Northern Prairies over the last 6400 years.
Volunteering is important because it offers essential help to worthwhile causes, people in need, and the wider community. volunteering also comes with many benefits such as connecting with others, building self-confidence, improving physical and mental health, and building a sense of purpose. when you volunteer with Wanuskewin, you will also receive recognition in our monthly newsletter, a free lunch, a letter of recognition from Wanuskewin, and a special invitation to our annual volunteer appreciation event at the end of the season.
Volunteers are advised to dress appropriately for the weather since some assignments will be outside.
