Wanuskewin is honoring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Join us for a day of reflection, learning, and celebration.
This September 30th, we welcome you to be present and learn about the lasting impact of Residential Schools, and how we move forward in harmony.
Join us on the path towards reconciliation through meaningful and action-based contributions. Volunteer with Wanuskewin and help create a space for truth and celebration of indigenous cultures being alive, shared, and passed down for generations, being together in the spirit of reconciliation.

Dress Code
Volunteers are advised to dress appropriately for the weather since some assignments will be outside.

Volunteer Roles: Saturday, September 21
Storytelling Day with Rob Malo / TiBert
Join storyteller, author, stage performer, juggler, poet, and community builder Rob Malo as our guest presenter this Saturday! He’ll be doing two sessions: A morning highly interactive storytelling experience for all ages, and an afternoon session for older youth and adults with reconciliation themed stories.

Volunteer Role Descriptions
Assist staff in set up and take down of presentation material. Ensure that all guests stay on their designated area. Assist staff in carrying educational material if required. Answer guest questions and ensure that all safety protocols are being followed.
Help to greet guests, answer questions, hand out maps, direct guests around the site, help the staff with event specific tasks and spread the word about Wanuskewin’s mission
Assist staff in general facility and ground maintenance during the day. Ensure that all areas in use are in a clean, sanitary, safe and presentable condition. Greet the guests, answer any questions and ensure that all safety procedures are being followed.

Hand out water to guests. Ensure that the station is stocked at all times. Answer guest questions and insure that all safety protocols are being followed.
