Why is a golf cart an important goal for Wanuskewin?
For Wanuskewin, accessibility can mean a lot of different things.
A golf cart will significantly improve the ability to bring Elders or people with disabilities down to the valley.
A golf cart will also improve staff ability to search the trails which is useful for search and rescue, safety checks, animal checks, and general maintenance.
A primary mandate for the park is to monitor, conserve, preserve, and restore our native prairie grasslands – a golf cart will allow staff, volunteers, and specialists to increase capacity to reach difficult or remote locations.
