• 11:00 a.m. – Archeology Tour (outdoors)
– join our interpretive guide to learn about the archaeological efforts made at Wanuskewin with information from artifacts and oral history.
• *1:00 p.m.* – Fiddle Presentation with Jordan Daniels
• 2:00 p.m. – Native Plant Walk (outdoors)
– Learn about the medicinal and edible plants in the opimihāw Valley that Indigenous peoples use for sustenance, shelter, and tools.
• 3:30 p.m. – Bison Walk (outdoors)
– Learn about bison as a keystone species to the grassland ecosystem, and as a cultural keystone to Northern Plains Indigenous peoples.
• 5:00 p.m. – full site (including trails and playground and gate access) CLOSED
Artist in Residence Marcy Friesen will be on site to visit!
*Scavenger hunts, drop in stations, and new books in the library area to explore!
