Maamawi, a word meaning together in Ojibwemowin, is a community driven exhibition featuring the work of Indigenous artists from across Canada. Through painting, sculpture, textiles, digital media, and mixed art forms, the exhibition honours the memories of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit (MMIWG2S+) people. Each work in the show is both a personal act of remembrance and a public call for justice. Maamawi is a space for reflection, solidarity, and hope for a better tomorrow.
