Wanuskewin: A Sense of Place
April 18th | Greg Yuel Gallery | 6pm – 8pm
On April 18th, we are holding an opening reception for Wanuskewin: A Sense of Place in our Greg Yuel Gallery. From 6-8pm, this event will include many of the exhibiting artists in a group exhibition centered on Wanuskewin as a unique land and sanctuary. In the summer of 2022, a selection of artists from across the province participated in two retreats, taking inspiration from the grasslands and history of our ecosystem to create an exhibition with 21 artists from various mediums.
Exhibiting artists are Alexa Hainsworth, Anne Brochu Lambert, Bobbi Clackson-Walker, Bonnie Conly, Bonny Macnab, Brenda Kennedy, Bridget Aitken, Debra Marshall, Diane Larouche Ellard, Donna Stockdale, Edie Marshall, Kathleen Slavin, Kathy Bradshaw, Kit Loewen, Louisa Ferguson, Monique Martin, Pat Danyluk, Pat Doig, Paula Cooley, Roxanne Enns, and Val Miles.
This event will include short talks by Alexa, Anne, Bonnie, Edie, and Louisa, followed by bannock and tea!
*Event is open and free to the public.
